Eeek! Look at this giant spider

QUEENSLAND, Australia – A photo of a giant Huntsman spider taken in Australia is taking the world by storm.

The photo was originally posted last year by Barnyard Betty’s Rescue in Queensland, Australia.

For reasons the rescue isn’t entirely sure of, the original photos started going viral in the last few days.

The spider was named Charlotte. She was released on the rescue’s farm shortly being captured.

“She was a beautiful, calm spider, not aggressive in any way and like most spiders she just wanted to go about her business eating bugs and living in peace,” the rescue wrote on Facebook. She didn’t or doesn’t need to be killed! Poor spiders are so misunderstood!”

There is speculation that the spider could be the largest Huntsman spider ever photographed.

According to the Facebook page, Barnyard Betty's is a sanctuary for orphaned, mistreated and unwanted farm animals.
