Wednesday's forecast: Prepare for scattered showers and thunderstorms
Cold front expected to sweep through Southeast Texas
Prepare for isolated rain Wednesday morning then scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms this afternoon.
A cold front sweeping through Southeast Texas Wednesday morning will bring us the rain. Some of the isolated thunderstorms could produce heavy rain and gusty winds.
The most active part of the area will be to the West where downpours this weekend caused flooding; therefore, flooding could be a concern in that area again.
The cold air will filter into the area through today. Highs will be mainly in the mid 70s. Because the cooler air is arriving later this afternoon, temperatures will start to cool earlier. It looks like highs will be hit during the early afternoon hours.
Houston should expect a high of 74 degrees with a high of 77 degrees for Galveston.
The showers will continue through tomorrow morning. Thursday will have a 20 percent chance of rain. It should be partly cloudy. The daytime highs will range between the low to mid 70s.
Friday, another chance of showers and thunderstorms across the region. Highs around 75 degrees.
