Weather Causes Plane Crash At Hooks Airport

HARRIS COUNTY – Klein Fire Department officials said the single engine plane had just touched down when a strong gust of wind pushed it off the runwayat David Wayne Hooks Airport.

Witnesses said the nose gear collapsed when it hit a patch of grass.

The pilot and passenger on board were not injured. Their names have not been release

"They came out of it with no injuries. Anytime you have an aircraft (crash) with no injuries, you're very lucky", David Bessolo said.

Airport officials from Hooks towed the plane to a hanger where the Federal Aviation Administration will inspect it.
