Water main near Reliant Stadium breaks due to weather conditions

HOUSTON – A lack of rain mixed with the Texas heat is being blamed for causing a water main to break near Reliant Stadium, according to officials.

The main broke Wednesday afternoon  on South Main and Murworth.

So far there are no street closures because of the break.

Officials with the city of Houston Public Works Division said crews will be working throughout the night to try and repair the broken water main.
