Want kids to do their chores? There's an app for that!

HOUSTON – Chores have been a source of contention between children and their parents for decades.  Now there's an app for that.

Gregg Murset is the CEO and developer of "My Job Chart," a free app that could help parents win the chore war.

"I've got six kids, so I've got the battle wounds. But it is very hard to inspire your kids to do work around the house and I thought, 'I gotta think of a better way,' because we tried all the stuff; putting it on the refrigerator, stickers and all that stuff. It didn't work," said Murset.

My Job Chart helps parents set daily chores and goals, assign rewards, and teach kids the importance of saving.  The app also gives kids the option of dating a portion of their rewards to charity.
