Waco sheriff warns of convicted killer in Houston

HOUSTON – The Waco sheriff is warning that a convicted triple murderer, who is now facing harassment charges, is in Houston.

The Waco Tribune-Herald reports that Jovan Collier is somewhere in Houston.

Collier was first charged as a teen for killing his adoptive parents and brother in a stabbing and shooting in 1983.

Then, he changed his name from Peter Zimmer to Jovan Collier. Since he couldn't be tried as an adult, Collier served for four years until he turned 18.

In 2011, Collier served more than two years in prison for stalking charges.

After being released, Collier went to Galveston to meet with his ex-wife. However, KPRC Local 2 is told that he left the island in March.
