HOUSTON -

Voters in Houston returned to the polls on Saturday for Decision 2014 runoff elections.

As voters decide on five Houston City Council Seats, Douglas Cannon said he made time to vote, realizing turnout would likely be low.

"People need to know that an election like this, every vote countss" said Cannon.

Based on early voting numbers and what history has shown, elections officials are predicting a five percent or less voter turnout in this runoff election.

Voter Bob Fleisher expressed disappointment in the projected turn out after casting his ballot.

"There's no big name in the runoff and I'm sure that's part of why," said Fleisher, who says he hasn't missed an election since 1964.
