HOUSTON -

Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a convenience store in northwest Houston.

Houston police said five men rammed their pickup truck through the front of the store located at 43rd St and Rosslyn around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Officials said it appeared the men were attempting to break into the ATM machine; but, when the alarm sounded, the men fled the scene empty handed.

The whole event was caught on the store's surveillance tape. Authorities are reviewing the tape.
