A 23-year-old Victoria man plead guilty to possession of child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
On March 18, 2012, the Victoria County Sheriff's Office launched an undercover online investigation into a person trading child porn. A computer, which they say traced back to Joshua Almeida, determined to be offering multiple images of child porn for distribution.
Several electronic storage devices were seized from Almeida's home on September 27, 2012. They were later identified as belonging to Almeida, investigators say.
Almeida faces up to 10 years in prison and was able to remain on bond pending his March 3, 2014, sentencing date.
