Vandals cause extensive damage to Woodforest Golf Club course

Golf club offers $500 cash reward for tips leading to arrest, convictions

MONTGOMERY, Texas – A local golf club is offering a cash reward after they say vandals maliciously drove a vehicle on the West Nine of their golf course.

Woodforest Golf Club said the incident happened in the evening of May 14th or early morning of May 15th.

According to the golf club, the incident caused extensive damage and a great deal of effort and expense to repair.

Woodforest Golf Club is offering a $500 cash reward to anyone that anonymously provides information leading to the arrest and conviction(s) of these vandals.

Designed by the PGA's own Steve Elkington, Woodforest features 27 holes carved through the pines and oaks of northwest Houston.

Since 2001, the classic design has appealed to golfers of all skill levels, deeming it a "player's course," according to the club.
