Utility worker robbed at gunpoint

HOUSTON – Neighbors in Acres Homes are on alert after an AT&T worker was robbed at gunpoint.

Houston police said the robbery happened at the corner of Lucky and Knox just before 1 p.m. on Monday.

Investigators said the technician was working on an outdoor box when two men approached him. One of them had a gun and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, officials said.

Police said the two robbers, believed to be between 20 and 25 years old, made off with some of the worker's personal property.

KPRC Local 2 contacted AT&T for a comment and representative said he would look into the matter.

The investigation is ongoing.

The victim was not hurt.
