USPS: Houston No. 1 in dog attacks on postal employees

HOUSTON – Postal workers in Houston are in the worst city for dog attacks, according to the United States Postal Service.

Out of 62 cities, Houston is No. 1 with 63 dog attacks on postal workers in 2013. The USPS reports a total of 5,581 dog attacks on postal employees last year.

The list was made in lieu of the start of National Dog Bite Prevention Week.

The closest Texas city on the list was Dallas ranked at No. 7 with 45 dog attacks. Fort Worth tied for No. 16 with 26 incidents.
