Georgia woman believes late son shows up on her wedding day

COLBERT, Ga. – For a lot of women, their wedding day is one of the biggest days of their lives. For one Georgia woman, it was a day she wasn't willing to have without her oldest son, who lost his fight with leukemia six months earlier.

When Anna Bozman Thompson was ready to walk down the aisle with fiancé, Travis Thompson, she knew her late son, Lake, had to be part of the union. That's when she called on friend and photographer, Brandy Angel, to Photoshop Lake into her wedding photos.

Angel said in an interview that the task wasn't easy, but she was up for the challenge. With the help of a friend she made it happen.

For Angel, it made her feel good to make her friend's day even more special, she said in the interview.

A day before the Thompson union, Angel said a rainbow appeared  over the venue where Travis and Anna were to take their wedding pictures. Angel said she and Anna knew the rainbow was Lake.

In the interview Angel recalled joking with the Thompsons, saying they knew Lake would show off on their big day.

Angel called what happened on the Thompsons' wedding day, during the photo shoot, nothing short of a miracle.

Angel said in the interview she got chills when she started editing the pictures and saw a constant light that surrounded the Thompsons.

Not able to wait, she said she sent the unedited pictures to Anna the night of the wedding.

When Anna got  the photos she said, with chills over her body, she immediately stated crying. She said in the interview, her family was complete on her wedding day. Though there are technically only four, Anna knows Lake still holds his place in their family.
