Police believed the girl was with 51-year-old Randy Johnson, a former acquaintance of the family, who is last known to reside in Harlingen, Texas.

Investigators say the girl and Johnson were found in a trailer park in Harlingen.

Authorities say the girl appeared to be unharmed but was being taken to a hospital as a precaution.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says Johnson was taken into custody for a kidnapping warrant that was issued for the abduction of the girl

According the girl's family, Johnson lived with the family for about eight months. They recently kicked him out and they believe he took their daughter as revenge.

The girl's parents said she had become fond of Johnson.

The family called a cellphone earlier Tuesday after finding a number written in their daughter's room. When they called the number, their daughter answered the phone.

According to the family, when the girl started talking the suspect snatched the phone and told them he was not bringing her back and they would never see them again.

"He turned around and told us that we'd never see her again," said the girl's father. "He said, 'Because where we're going and everything like that you gotta (sic) have an ID to cross the checkpoint. Come get me.'"

The family believed Johnson called the girl on Monday and had her meet him outside their trailer park and then picked her up.

The family also was highly concerned because the girl has been diagnosed with a form of autism, a form of down syndrome and bi-polar disorder. She is on medication to handle these and other medical issues.

"I know that she's got 50 million emotions going," said the girl's mother. "But to us, it's just important just for us just to bring her home. That's all that we want at this point and time."
