UH police investigating attempted robbery

It happened Monday night on campus

HOUSTON – The University of Houston police are investigating an attempted robbery on the school's campus.

On Monday at around 9:50 p.m., a student reported that he was approached from behind in the Cullen Oaks Parking Garage first floor after he parked his vehicle and was walking towards the complex.

According to the student, the man grabbed his backpack and demanded his wallet.


The student said he turned around and hit the suspect in the face causing him to flee on foot from the garage.

No weapon was used and the student was not injured, police said.

The suspect has been described as a black male who was wearing a dark blue short-sleeve T-shirt.
