HOUSTON – A University of Houston engineering student decided to do the math on the phrase, "If I had $1 for every time..." in order to prove someone wrong.
It all started when a musician said if he had $1 for every time he listened to a particular song, he could afford the Range Rover the band sings about.
It was that post that prompted Connor Oliver to actually do the math.
Oliver said even if he listened to the song on loop non-stop it would not be enough to pay for the SUV.
His comment took the internet by storm. KPRC 2 caught up with the witty student about his newfound fame.
"It's been a little bit on campus. A lot of my friends have seen it, so they've all being talking to me about it," Oliver said. "I've had a lot of people ask me to do their homework for them."
Since Oliver made the comment he has received almost 10,000 likes and more than 2,200 replies.
