Two people who hit a pedestrian while leading police on a high-speed chase are in custody.
Investigators say the chase started when Friendswood police attempted to pull over a driver and he took off. Police caught them after a brief foot chase.
Police say during the chase, the driver, 37-year-old Christopher Hearen, turned on to a dead end street.
According to officials, Hearen is a known meth dealer who's been arrested twice before as a result of narcotics investigation.
The passenger of the vehicle was identified as 39-year-old Daniel Rodriguez. Rodriguez has six previous charges that include theft, burglary and traffic offenses.
The suspects are being booked into the Friendswood City Jail. Charges are pending for narcotics violations and traffic violations. A bond has not been set at this time.
The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital. There is no word on his condition.
