Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of two suspects who fatally shot a dog on New Year's Eve.

The dogs owner said he was walking his 4-year-old Labrador retriever around 4 p.m. Tuesday, when two people approached him on four-wheel ATVs. He said the suspects were about 10 feet from him but were very close to the dog.

According to the dog's owner, the driver of the red ATV pulled out a silver gun and shot the dog. Initially the dog was just wounded and was whining, until the suspect shot the dog another time.

The drivers sped away.

One suspect is described as wearing a red jacket and a red helmet and riding the red ATV. The second suspect was wearing camouflage, a green helmet and his ATV was green. Both suspects were wearing full riding gear.

Up to $5,000 could be earned for information leading to the arrest of the the suspects.
