Two men arrested in armed robbery at fast food restaurant

FORT BEND COUNTY – Two men are in jail in connection with an armed robbery in Fort Bend County.

At 9 p.m. Friday, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to an aggravated robbery call at a McDonald's restaurant in the 9300 block of Highway 6.

According to police, the victim had met with the suspects in the parking lot to purchase a cell phone.

Instead the suspects displayed a handgun and threatened to kill the victim, then stole in excess of $700.

As the suspects fled the area they crashed with the victim's car and fired multiple shots at the victim.

Javonte McGill, 20, and Romelius Rhone, 19, both were arrested Sunday.

They remain in the Fort Bend County Jail under $80,000 bonds.
