HOUSTON – Two Houston area hopefuls were eliminated from the Voice on Thursday night.
Tamara Chauniece Williams and Amber Nicole, both of Team CeeLo, did not advance to the top 12.
For Thursday's show, Tamara Chauniece's family and friends gathered for a watch party at RED-e Golf in Sugar Land.
Tamara Chauniece's mother, Sandra Williams, said her daughter loved to sing as a young child growing up in Wharton, and she's been cheering for her daughter ever since.
"I've just been so elated about what she has done, how far she has come," said Williams.
Unfortunately, Tamara Chauniece was eliminated along with Amber Nicole.
It's not the outcome William's hoped for, but she said her daughter has more musical success ahead. "She's still number one," said Williams.
