Video: Two armed, masked men wanted in Food Express robbery

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Sugar Land detectives are looking for two men who were caught on camera robbing a Food Express store.

The robbery was reported on January 6th, in the 1300 block of Bournewood Drive.

The store's owner said two masked men walked into the store just before 9 p.m., displayed handguns, and stole merchandise and cash from the register.

According to reports, five customers were also robbed. Each customer was confronted by an armed man and ordered to the back of the store, where the crooks took the victims' wallets and phones, police said.

The gunmen were last seen running from the store.

No one was hurt, and the entire incident lasted less than 15 minutes.

Store surveillance video from earlier in the day captured two men whose physical characteristics and mannerisms were similar to those of the gunmen, authorities said.

Police said the two men arrived in separate vehicles just before 3 p.m., one in a white Ford Crown Victoria and the other in a small, white four-door vehicle.

After entering the store together, one man waited at the front near a beer cooler while the other walked to the back, investigators said. They approached the counter together, and one of the men paid for two beers and a can of soda.

As they walked away, they were seen slapping hands before leaving the store and driving off.

Both appeared nervous and repeatedly looked around inside the store.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Sugar Land Police Department or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers.
