Two crooks bust into barber shop, ransack cash registers

HOUSTON – Two crooks took off with an unknown amount of valuables after breaking into a barber shop in southwest Houston.

Houston police responded to reports of a burglary of a business on the Southwest Freeway and South Shepherd around 1:45 a.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived, police said they found the front glass door of the store had been shattered. 

According to reports, the burglars rummaged through all of the drawers where the money was kept.

A witness said he later spotted two men running away from the scene.

Police said it's unknown exactly what the suspects took off with.

Officials said there are no cameras in the business, so there is no security footage for police to reference.
