Two arrested in narcotics investigation in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says it has arrested two Conroe residents following a narcotics investigation.

Deputies with MCSO's Special Investigations Unit say they identified a vehicle as a possible drug courier in the area of FM 2854 and Loop 336 on Monday.

During the investigation, deputies say it was discovered that the driver, David William Willis, Jr., was in possession of a firearm.

According to deputies, a check of his criminal history revealed he was a convicted felon, so he was arrested.

Willis, 35, was charged with felon in possession of a firearm.

Investigators say they discovered the passenger in the car, Amy Lynn Jones, was in possession of more than 60 grams of methamphetamine.

Jones, 30, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Both Willis and Jones were transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
