HOUSTON -

Two Houston men have been arrested in connection with a strong-arm robbery case in Fort Bend County, and authorities say they may be tied to other robberies.

According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, Tony Truong Nguyen and Andy Duong were stopped on March 2 by a Houston police officer on a traffic violation. Earlier that day, two Asian men approached a 14-year-old girl and her mother outside a meat market in the 8600 block of Highway 6 in the Houston area of Fort Bend County.

One of the suspects assaulted the girl and stole her cell phone.

Deputies say Nguyen, 19, and Duong, 17, are being investigated to determine any association with several similar robberies occurring that same day in Houston.

The duo remain in the Fort Bend County Jail on $50,000 bonds.
