TV actor from Texas accused of selling cocaine from home

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Denton, Texas, native and former "Days of Our Lives" heartthrob Dylan Michael Patton was charged Thursday with allegedly selling cocaine out of his home near Los Angeles.

Patton, 20, was scheduled to be arraigned after 1:30 p.m. at Los Angeles County Superior Court, Van Nuys Branch.

He is charged with one count of possession for sale of a controlled substance, cocaine. The complaint alleges the sale took place within 1,000 feet of Sumac Elementary School, near his home in Agoura Hills, Calif.

Patton was arrested Tuesday by sheriff's deputies who served a search warrant at his family's home in the 28000 block of Bardell Drive. Deputies allegedly seized cocaine from the residence.

Prosecutors will request that bail be set at $30,000. If convicted, Patton faces up to nine years in state prison.

According to web site IMDb, Patton joined the cast of the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives" in 2009, playing the role of Will Horton for about a year to Jan. 20, 2010.

The Texas native began acting at the age of 7. He and his family relocated to the Los Angeles area  when Patton was 13 years old, according to IMDb.
