TSA Precheck enrollees more satisfied with flying, according to survey

HOUSTON – Travelers enrolled in the TSA Precheck program are happier with their overall travel experience than those without it, according to a survey.

The Global Business Travel Association found 66% of the business travelers they polled are more satisfied in general with air travel, compared to participants who were not enrolled (54%).

The survey also revealed 74% of TSA Precheck travelers felt safe after passing through security.

The TSA Precheck program allows air travelers to go through a separate, fast-track security line, where they don't have to remove their shoes, belts or liquids and laptops from their carry-ons. It costs $85 to join and enrollees must provide fingerprints and official documentation like a passport.

GBTA's survey also found baby boomers (ages 55 and up) were more likely to be enrolled in the program compared to those who are millennials (ages 18-34) and Gen Xers (ages 35-54).
