Trump expected to nominate ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson as secretary of state, NBC News reports

Donald Trump is expected to nominate ExxonMobil Corp. CEO Rex Tillerson as his secretary of state, NBC News reported Saturday.

A spokesperson for the president-elect confirmed Tillerson met Saturday with Trump at Trump Tower in New York.

NBC sources said nothing is final until the president-elect officially announces the nomination.

Tillerson, 64, is a graduate of Huntsville High School and University of Texas.

He became president of now ExxonMobil in 2004.

If nominated as secretary of state, Tillerson would be fourth in line to the presidency.
