HOUSTON -

After four exotic animals were killed by a pack of dogs, Harris County animal control stepped in to help capture them.

A trap was set Thursday outside the cages where those animals lived.

A pet kangaroo and three kinkajous were attacked by three large dogs outside an exotic pet store in northeast Houston.

Suzett Stidom, who raised the exotic pets since they were small, said Sidney the kangaroo and one of the kinkajous were killed early Saturday morning.

The dogs came back again on Wednesday and killed two more kinkajous.

Stidom is hoping the trap will catch the dogs so no other animals or people are hurt.

For the time being, she has moved the rest of her outdoor animals back indoors.
