Tourists reportedly kill Bahamas swimming pigs with alcohol

Swimming with the pigs has been an experience unique to the Bahamas for decades, with tourists traveling to the islands just to take part in the attraction.

The report claims the pigs were given rum and beer.

"The pigs were given the wrong food," Wayde Nixon, the pigs' owner, told the Nassau Guardian.

However, animal experts in the Bahamas are not ready to officially declare alcohol to be the cause of the pigs' deaths.

The Bahamian government has now reportedly banned visitors from feeding the remaining pigs, numbered to be anywhere from 7 to 15.
