HOUSTON - Police are preparing for more drunk drivers this weekend, especially around the Renaissance Festival.

This year in Tomball police are taking a new aggressive approach by taking blood from drivers at the scene.

Tomball police say that suspected drunk drivers will be required to have their blood tested when pulled over.

The program will get drunk drivers off the road faster and officers back to patrolling.

Police say that the blood draws will only be for this weekend because of the the Renaissance Fair and people coming back from Halloween parties.
