Tomball college evacuated after bomb threat

HOUSTON – A Tomball college was evacuated for hours Wednesday after a bomb threat.

Officials said Lone Star College, 30555 Tomball Parkway, was evacuated after the bomb threat was called into the 911 system of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 1:30 p.m.

The Harris County and Montgomery County bomb squads were sent to the campus to sweep the area.

Everyone was asked to leave the campus until further notice. All campus activities were cancelled for Wednesday.

The campus was cleared shortly after 4 p.m. when officials said nothing suspicious was found.

Classes will resume at 10 a.m. Thursday.
