Toilet flush valves stolen from restaurants

Valves worth about $100 each

TOMBALL, Texas – Police say thieves have been hitting up restaurants along the Tomball Parkway to steal toilet parts for cash.

Ivan Lee, the manager of Shipley's Donuts, said the thieves are stealing parts and trying to sell them at scrap metal places for some quick cash.

Lee said he's taking major precaution and has since installed locks on his toilets.

Police said the thieves have also targeted an Applebee's, Taco bell, and the Church's Chicken on West Main.

The toilet valves are made out of brass and are worth around $100 each.
