Three teenagers are facing charges after authorities said they broke into several cars in Fort Bend County.
Investigators said the burglaries occurred on Monday in the Winfield Lakes subdivision in the eastern part of the county.
Investigators said the three teens sneaked out of their homes in the early morning hours and went searching for cars that were unlocked.
The sheriff's office said they received several calls about burglaries and were able to arrest the teens after surrounding the neighborhood.
A 13-year-old boy and two 15-year-old were taken into custody for incidents involving at least 10 cars.
Officials said some of the items stolen include cell phones, cameras, computer tablets, shoes and even a handgun.
Detectives have evidence in those cases, and believe they have property from three other cases that may be connected to the crime spree.
