Thieves take $190,000 in specialty watches from Galleria store

Surveillance images show burglary

HOUSTON – Houston police are looking for two masked burglars who broke into a business inside the Galleria Mall and stole over $190,000 in high-end watches.

Surveillance pictures show the burglars inside the business, in the 5000 block of Westheimer Road, breaking a glass case with what appears to be a hammer. Police said they stole 42 specialty watches before leaving.

The incident happened on Feb. 13 at around 2:50 a.m.

Police said the burglars broke through several glass doors, causing over $17,000 in damage.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
