HOUSTON - Some would-be thieves got away empty-handed after smashing into a cash store overnight.

Police say the crooks smashed into a Speedy Cash on Harrisburg and 69th Street in southeast Houston. They plowed their truck into the building.

They got away empty-handed, but their car was found not far away.
