HOUSTON -

 Two thieves are on the run after stealing thousands of dollars worth of cigarettes from a northwest Houston Walgreens.

It happened around 4:00 a.m.  Friday at the store on Hammerly and Blalock.

Police were notified by the alarm company.

Officers said two men broke in and stole thousands of dollars worth of cigarettes.

When police arrived, the men were already gone.    

Investigators said the thieves broke in by popping the lock on the front door.

It is the second time this Walgreens has been burglarized this year.
