HOUSTON -

Police are investigating after five apartments in the same complex were broken into on Monday.

All five of the victims live in the Domain at Eldridge complex on Crescent Plaza Drive off of Eldridge Parkway.

Officials said none of the victims were home when the burglaries took place. One resident said it was a phone call from management at 4:30 a.m. that sent him rushing back home after the break-in.

In a letter to residents, the management stated that robbers used crowbars to pry open doors in the complex, including ones that were double-locked.

Victims said the thieves went through each apartment and stole cash, electronics, jewelry, and anything that appeared to be valuable.

Residents said the incident scared them, and the bold actions of the robbers left them feeling helpless.

Apartment management assured residents of a few things in the letter they sent out. The letter stated the apartment complex would have extra security in place, and warned residents to be aware of their surroundings at all times.

Detectives said they hope to find the suspects with the evidence they have from the burglaries.
