Thieves back truck into convenience store, steal ATM

HOUSTON – Thieves left behind thousands of dollars in damage after ramming their truck into the side of a southwest Houston convenience store and stealing an ATM.

According to the manager, three men used a white, Ford 250 truck to slam into the side of the store on South Shepherd Drive near Bissonnet Street.

The ATM was bolted to the floor, but the impact knocked the machine onto the floor. The thieves then picked up the ATM and dragged it into the back of their truck.

The force of the impact also knocked over merchandise and caused parts of the ceiling to fall to the floor.

Houston police said the suspects were wearing dark clothing, hats and bandanas to conceal their faces from the surveillance cameras in the store.
