Thieves select high-end tools, leave without paying, police say

BAYTOWN, Texas – Baytown police are asking for the public's help in finding some thieves who allegedly have stolen from the Baytown Home Depot on three different occasions.

Police said in the thefts, the thieves enter the store and select high-end tools and leave without paying for them. The thefts happened May 10, June 6 and June 8.

In the May 10 incident, the thieves were seen leaving in what was described as a newer-model, dark gray Chevrolet Tahoe with paper tags, police said.

Anyone who has information is asked to call the Baytown Police Department at its non-emergency number, 281-422-8371. Tipsters can also contact Crime Stoppers at 281-427-TIPS, submit anonymous tips online at the Baytown Police Department website or text keyword BAYTOWN plus the tip to CRIMES (274637). Police said Crime Stoppers can pay up to $5,000 cash and tipsters will remain anonymous.
