PEARLAND - Police are looking for the thief who snatched two diamond rings from a jewelry store in Pearland.
Police said officers responded to a burglary alarm around 8 p.m. on July 30 at the Kay Jewelers store at the Pearland Town Center, located at 11200 Broadway Ste. 700.
According to the store manager, a black man walked into the store and asked to see diamond rings. The suspect said he was looking for a ring for his girlfriend of six years.
Staff told the suspect they could only show him one ring at a time.
Police said a clerk was hold one ring while the suspect looked at another one.
At one point, the suspect snatched the ring from the clerk and ran out with both rings in his possession.
The suspect is described by police as 5 feet 8 inches and 160 pounds.
According to police, the diamond rings are valued at $4,999 and $5,899, totaling just under $10,900.
