'The Voice' finale watch party held in La Porte

La Porte High School also opens doors for finale watch party

LA PORTE, Texas – Jake Worthington's family and friends were joined by an army of fans at a La Porte restaurant for "The Voice" finale watch party.

Tammy Lopez, Jake's aunt, said the support has been overwhelming.

"We all feel like they are a part of us now because there's not one person that doesn't love him as much as we do," said Lopez.

The pride fans have for Jake has reached every corner of the community, including La Porte High School, which also opened its doors for a finale watch party.

"Jake is probably one of the coolest people I've ever met and I love him. It's cool to see him up there representing our town," said Cheyenn Robertson.

Jake's fan base stretches beyond La Porte and Texas. Local 2 talked to a couple who drove all the way from Lake Charles, Louisiana, to join in on all the fanfare.

"I love it. I saw this place on TV and said I wanted to be here. I told her she didn't think much of that now she does," said Don Shaw.
