HOUSTON – A woman has been hospitalized after a hit-and-run accident in the uptown area.
The accident happened around 11 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Mid Lane and San Felipe Street.

According to police, two women were standing next to their SUV talking, when a white sedan came speeding down the road.
The car hit one of the women and struck their car door, bending it backward, then took off.
The woman was rushed to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
