HOUSTON – Police are investigating the death of a woman who was hit by a car and died while walking across a South Loop feeder road.
It happened around 8:35 a.m. on Sunday in the 4600 block of the South Loop West service road.

Police said the victim was attempting to cross the freeway service road when she was hit by a white Chrysler PT Cruiser.Â
Officials said the woman died at the scene.
The driver of the Chrysler stopped and was questioned by police.
No charges are expected to be filed as a result of this accident.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
