The driver refused to stop and took off. He lead police down Clark to Parker Street with officers in pursuit.

Officials said once he turned onto Rittenhouse Road, he hit police spike strips.

Despite the damage to his SUV, the driver continued on to the North Freeway.

By that time, his tires were in shreds and he was forced to stop.

Police said the suspect bailed out of the vehicle and ran towards the feeder road. That's where officers tackled and arrested him.

Police said the driver was high on narcotics which violates the condition of his probation.

The suspect is expected to face resisting, drug and evading charges.
