HOUSTON - Wicked weather around the country is threatening to wreck Thanksgiving weekend travel plans.
Airlines are warning passengers that the winter storm that is dumping snow and rain is likely to cause issues in the coming days.
All the major carriers are offering travel waivers for areas impacted. United Airlines told Local 2 it has already issued waivers for Cleveland, Newark and Washington-Dulles airports.
Bush Intercontinental Airport is planning for heavy traffic on Wednesday, but says the peak travel day is expected to be Sunday as everyone rushes back home for work and school.
