HOUSTON – A bar owner could do nothing but watch as a thief walked out of his business with a safe early Tuesday.
According to Houston police, the suspect used a crowbar to open the back door of the Federal Grill on Shepherd Drive around 1 a.m., then carried the safe out.
The owner has a live video feed routed to his cellphone and got an alert when the break-in occurred. He was able to watch the theft on his phone as it happened.
The owner said the safe contained cash and a rare bottle of bourbon valued at $4,000.
