CPS said the boy's mother left her son in front of his father's apartment

HOUSTON – Authorities said a baby boy was found abandoned on the front porch of a northeast Houston apartment building.

Officials said the baby was found around 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning in the 7300 block of Northline Drive near E. Little York Road.

According to Child and Protective Services, the mother of a 2-month-old baby left her son on the doorstep of the father's apartment, where he lives with another woman and his two other children.

CPS said the boy was transported to LBJ Hospital to be checked out. There were no reports of injuries.

Authorities are still trying to locate the baby's biological parents.
