UPDATE: 3 charged with kidnapping woman

HOUSTON – The three men charged with kidnapping a woman in northeast Houston appeared in court on Wednesday.

Officials said the 28-year-old victim got into a verbal argument with her boyfriend at the Time Saver convenience store at 9430 Mesa at Tidwell. The woman then got into a vehicle, possibly a dark colored Lexus, with three unknown black men and was then driven around the Lakewood Subdivision.  

Police said during that time, the woman was physically assaulted and the suspects attempted to rape her. The victim was able to run away from the three suspects. She suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Upon further investigation, police said the suspects and victim were seen on surveillance video at the convenience store.  

Police said the three suspects, 20-year-old Roy Dean Griffin,  21-year-old Delton T. Sidney and 20-year-old Justin Darreal are charged with kidnapping and faced a Harris County judge on Wednesday.

Bond was not set for the men.
