United Airlines Dreamliner flight from London to Houston diverted to New Jersey

The FAA says the issued was a low oil quantity indicator light

HOUSTON – A United Airlines Dreamliner flight from London to Houston was detoured to New Jersey due to a low oil indication.

The FAA says United Airlines Flight 125, en route from London-Heathrow to Bush Intercontinental Airport, diverted to Newark, New Jersey, because of a low oil quantity indicator light.

United says the aircraft landed normally and without incident at around 2:15pm ET. The airline says they are working to re-accommodate customers.

According to its website, the United aircraft was a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The FAA says it will look into the incident.

The Dreamliner was relaunched a few weeks ago, right here in Houston, after a string of problems with batteries on the planes grounded the fleet for six months.

And on Tuesday, a problem with an oil filter disrupted a flight on a 787 from Denver to Tokyo.
