Two men attacked in southwest Houston apartment complex

Police believe the two men that were attacked were attacked by the same two suspects within minutes

HOUSTON – Two men were violently assaulted in a southwest Houston apartment complex.

The first victim encountered two men early Wednesday morning after visiting a friend.

"They took a gun out, chased me down, emptied my pockets and took my car keys. And they put a gun up to my head and said, 'give me your keys,'" the victim said.

The man was not seriously injured, but he did get a bump on his head, after one of the suspects hit him with the butt of the gun.

Police say the suspects ran away and within minutes gun shots were heard.

The second victim told police he was walking to his car that was parked on Olympia Drive, when two men tried to rob him.

The victim was able to get inside of his car, but police say the suspects shot at the car and shattered one of its windows.

Police believe the same two men are responsible for both the robbery and attempted robbery.

Surveillance cameras at the apartment complex are being reviewed in hopes of helping police with their investigation.

If anyone has information about these cases, please call Houston robbery detectives or Crime Stoppers at (713)-222-TIPS.
